  • What to expect when you are selected for interview

    Our interviews are a two-way conversation where we can tell you more about Futures to see if you like us and for us to get to know you better.

    • First things first, we'll write you a nice letter to invite you to come and meet us.
    • There are usually two or more people who like to meet candidates - including the manager of the team which you're hoping to join.
    • We will ask you some questions about your skills and experience and we like it when candidates can tell us about this in a bit more detail with some really good examples. We also like if you can tell us why you want to work with us.
    • Sometimes, we may ask you to have a go at a skills test or come and spend some time with us doing the job.
    • We sometimes like you to prepare a presentation - but don't worry, we will give you plenty of time to prepare.
    • We receive a lot of applications for certain roles so we will sometimes arrange an initial telephone interview with you. If we like you and you like us, we'll then ask to meet you in person for a face-to-face chat.
  • Some handy tips to help prepare for an interview
    • We like it when candidates can tell us what they know about Futures Housing Group, our vision and our corporate plan.
    • We also like it when candidates can tell us about their skills, knowledge and experience in relation to the role and to hear about how you may handle certain situations.
    • Remember, this is also about seeing whether you like us so ... relax, prepare some questions for us and we will look forward to getting to know you a little better.
