Our purpose at Futures Housing Group is to create great places, provide quality services with great people and inspire better futures for our customers and team members.


Our vision is to create great places, quality services and inspiring futures for our team members and customers who live in our homes.

What We Do

Futures Housing Group provides around 10,000 homes for people in the East Midlands.

Although our main social purpose is to provide quality, affordable housing, we are diverse and also offer a different types of homes for a growing range of customers.

We own a number of companies which help us deliver our vision.

  • Futures Greenscape is our grounds maintenance social enterprise which provides local job and training opportunities as well as estate management services.
  • Limehouse Developments Ltd is our commercial development company which helps us offer homes for private rent, outright sale and shared ownership.
  • Access Training is our further education provider which supports more than 1,100 learners and works with hundreds of employers to help people find the qualifications they need for the jobs they want. We co-own Access Training with another housing association.

We love to recognise our people for a job well done and are extremely proud when we get national praise. Since 2016, we have been shortlisted in 11 national or regional awards for procurement, communications, finance, development, apprenticeships and training. We have won:

  • 2018 - Winner Procurement Team of the Year (GO Procurement Awards)
  • 2017 – Winner TPAS Employment and Skills Award (TPAS Central Region Awards)
  • 2016 – Winner Outstanding Approach to Income Management (UK Housing Awards)
  • 2016 – Winner Best Small In House Communications Team (Public Sector Communications Awards)

In 2018 we were recognised as a "great" organisation through Investors in Excellence. It was the fifth time we have retained the Investors in Excellence certification which is a national award recognising how companies perform and continuously improve how they do business.

In 2018 we achieved the Investors In People Gold Standard and were shortlisted for the Gold Employer of the Year 250+ category.
